Research, not medical advice

The Riverclear protocol and the material on this site are educational research content. Nothing on this site is medical advice, treatment, diagnosis, or prescription. Nothing on this site is a substitute for a qualified physician's care.

Compounds and contraindications

Several compounds discussed on this site (yohimbine, berberine, TUDCA, magnesium citrate, processed Ban Xia and other TCM herbs) have hard contraindications, drug interactions, and side-effect profiles. Each ingredient page lists the contraindications relevant to that compound. Users with any diagnosed cardiovascular, hepatic, renal, psychiatric, autoimmune, or metabolic condition, users on prescription medications, users who are pregnant or breastfeeding, and users under 18 should consult a qualified physician before adopting any part of the protocol.

Yohimbine — specific warning

Yohimbine has hard contraindications including SSRIs, SNRIs, MAOIs, tricyclic antidepressants, anxiety disorders, panic disorder, uncontrolled hypertension, arrhythmia, pheochromocytoma, pregnancy and breastfeeding, renal or hepatic insufficiency, and pediatric use. The MAOI interaction can be fatal. Read the yohimbine ingredient page before adopting the Mobilize window.

TCM herbs

The Chinese herbal compounds discussed on this site should be sourced from licensed Chinese pharmacies and confirmed for the correct processed form (Fa Ban Xia or Zhi Ban Xia, not Sheng Ban Xia). Self-formulating with raw herbs is outside the scope of the protocol and is not advised.
